Job Learning Needs of Nursing Officers in Division Medical Facilities

Abstract
Purpose: The purpose of the study is to explore job learning demands of nursing officers in division medical facilities. Focus group interview and survey were conducted for more comprehensive understanding.

Methods: Six nursing officers, who have worked at division medical facilities for more than one and a half years in last three years, were selected as focus group participants and 83 nursing officers, who have experience of working in division medical facilities, were chosen as survey interviewees, respectively. The results of job learning needs and priority were obtained through applying of Borich Needs Assessment Model.

Results: The highest level of job importance and performance was identified as ``educator``. Applying job learning demands to Borish Model, the highest needs appeared within the domains of education indicated as ``manager`` and the item referred to the ``job assignment of nursing officers``.

Conclusion: Through this study, it has been examined that separate educations is needed for the nursing officers of division medical facilities who carry out differentiated care duties in armed forces hospitals and different surroundings. Furthermore, in order to gain efficient job learning, continuous and systematic job learning programs reflecting learning needs of objects should be developed.
